MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez hinted at expanding her Filipino discography during a courtesy call to Malacañang Palace.
The "America's Got Talent" Season 20 winner is back in the Philippines for a New Year's Eve concert in a Parañaque resort complex.
Jessica visited Malacañang where she was greeted by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, sitting down with the two for around half an hour as she reflected on her "America's Got Talent" experience.
The discussion also touched on Filipino culture and cuisine — where the First Lady suggested Jessica visit more provinces during the singer's stay — as well as Jessica's upcoming album and future projects.
The president even jokingly offered to volunteer to be Jessica's manager as he thanked her bringing pride to the Philippines.
During an ambush interview with the media after the courtesy call, it was revealed that the president had aired the possibility of Jessica performing at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit next year, which the Philippines will host.

"I think I need some time to really plan out what I'm gonna be singing because I'll be representing the Filipinos, so I wanna take my time figuring out my song choices," Jessica said, indicating her excitement.
Jessica confirmed her next album is set for release sometime in the first quarter of 2026, with plans of recording Tagalog songs and collaborating with local artists.
The singer again looked back at her music journey, which included competing in the very first season of "America's Got Talent" two decades ago and a runner-up finish on "American Idol" Season 11.
"I feel like when something is really worth it, when something is meant for you, it's a long journey and I'm so happy that my journey was recorded for my world to see," Jessica said.
The wait and struggles ultimately led to her victory earlier this year while pregnant with her first child. She gave birth to a girl, Eliana Mae, a couple of weeks after winning.
"It's well worth it so just keep on pushing, keep on fighting," Jessica ended. "I feel like as Filipinos, we are just naturally talented with that voice, so I say just keep on pursuing your dreams."
