James Reid hopes fans happy for him, ex-girlfriend Nadine Lustre and their new partners

CELEBRITIES unfollowing each other on social media has become a veritable tell-tale sign that either as a couple, they have put a bitter end to their relationship or as buddies, they have tossed their friendship out of the window, worse, into the trash bin.

Former couple Nadine Lustre and James Reid have recently been added to this growing list.

A latest peek into Nadine's Instagram account — particularly on her following list — no longer contains the names of James and his girlfriend Issa Pressman. James still follows Nadine on Instagram, though.

Nadine's unfollowing James runs counter to the latter's statement September of last year that there existed no beef — let alone bad blood — between him and his ex-girlfriend.

However, in a recent vlog interview by talent manager and content creator Ogie Diaz, James lamented that: "It has been a difficult year for both Issa and me, and I'm sure also for Nadine. Some people simply refuse to move on."

What the singer-actor exactly cannot grasp is the fact that to this day, Issa has been caught in the crosshairs of netizens accusing her as the third party to his romantic dalliance with Nadine.

"Enough of all the noise, all the bashing as it makes me feel depressed for Issa," James groaned.

He wishes some people refrained from passing the buck to Issa — simply because he and Nadine were no longer a couple since 2020.

"There had been no overlapping of sorts. Issa came into the picture where there was already closure to what Nadine and I had back then. That being so, why put the blame on Issa?" James furthered.

It's the multi-slashie's ultimate wish that people see him and Nadine happily ensconced with their respective partners: the latter to Christophe Bariou.

"Only then do I believe these people will give us all some peace of mind."

In his dreams.

MAY the best man win.

Of late, vigorous campaign efforts launched by senator-wannabe Phillip Salvador have been in full swing.

Lucky is how we can aptly describe Kuya Ipe (his pet name) for aligning himself with Partido Demokratiko Pilipino or PDP, well, resources-wise.

The actor gets even luckier being identified with Senator Robin Padilla as the party's campaign manager, but how far can Phillip's lucky streak get?

It will sure be a tough race for the veteran actor who's up in arms against real-life showbiz pals Senators Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada.

Notwithstanding, Phillip needs to come on fortified enough — and hopefully truthful — against such tirades on responsible fatherhood issues.

Guess who?

This not-so-active actress (NSA) must have realized the "karmic aftermath" of her social media post directed at a female colleague (FC) years ago.

The FC — for many years now — has been grappling with serious health challenges.

The first time the FC made it public, the heartless NSA was even the first to rebuke the former — to the point of "coining a homonymous medical term."

The NSA, however, didn't see it coming. Many years later, a close family member has likewise developed a similar ailment.

Indeed, what goes around comes around. Too bad, it's the family member who's at the receiving end.

Talk about gloating in other people's misery.
