MANILA, Philippines — Korean star IU accepted the Daesang or Grand Prize of the 2025 APAN Star Awards wearing a dress by Filipina designer Monique Lhuillier.

The white dress with rose petal accents was initially intended as a wedding dress but IU donned the outfit from the red carpet until her Daesang win.

IU was honored for her performance in "When Life Gives You Tangerines" which also won Drama of the Year, Best Director for Kim Won-seok, and young stars Kim Tae-yeon and Lee Cheon-mu winning Best Child Actor.

Other wins for the Netflix hit show were Lee Jun-young (who also starred in "Pump Up the Healthy Love") winning the Excellence Award - Actor in a Miniseries and Kang You-seok (who also appeared in "Resident Playbook") winning Best New Actor.

"For Eagle Brothers" co-stars Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ji-won won the Top acting awards for Serial Drama, "Friendly Rivalry" stars Hyeri and Jung Soo-bin won Best Couple, and several categories saw dual wins.
