MANILA, Philippines — Earnings of real estate firm Italpinas Development Corp. (IDC) slipped in 2025 despite sales rising by double digits.
IDC reported a net income of P250.9 million last year, down by 27.4 percent P345.4 million in 2024.
IDC said non-operational activities such as the increase in interest expense and lower gain on appraisal of investment properties recognized in 2024 resulted to a decline in the overall net income performance of the group.
The company, however, saw sales jump by 29.9 percent last year to P784.7 million from the previous year’s P604.2 million.
The increase was attributed to higher sales of ongoing projects such as Primavera City-Citta Bella in Cagayan de Oro and Miramonti in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
IDC Homes and IDC Prime, subsidiaries of IDC, also started to recognize revenue from Verona Green Residences and Primavera City-Citta Grande.
“From inception, IDC has focused on being an early mover in emerging locations, foreseeing the current shift in real estate focus from Metro Manila to provinces, and this has paid off with the significant generated sales from these flagship projects during the year,” the company said.
IDC intends to expand further in multiple new sites throughout the country, citing Palawan, Boracay, Bataan and Bukidnon as a few new locations for major flagship projects of the company.
