MANILA, Philippines — It’s game on for tycoon Eusebio Tanco’s DigiPlus Interactive Corp. in South Africa as the company secured regulator approval for its license applications, paving the way for its second international venture.

The listed digital entertainment provider behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone said it has received licenses to operate from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB) in South Africa.

WCGRB approved DigiPlus’ application for three operator licenses: a national manufacturer license, a bookmaker license and a bookmaker premises license.

DigiPlus said the WCGRB holds jurisdiction over the province of Western Cape, which is the largest online gaming market in South Africa and accounted for approximately 31 percent of national online gaming revenues in 2025.

The company said Western Cape is also a top destination for international operators due to its transparent regulatory processes and digital readiness.

As the largest online gaming market on the continent, South Africa is estimated to have generated $4.9 billion in gaming revenues in 2025.

DigiPlus earlier said it is targeting a soft launch of its operations in South Africa by early 2027.

South Africa is set to be DigiPlus’ second international market after its entry into Brazil, which is targeted to start full commercial operations within the first half.

The company intends to leverage its experience in building its presence in Brazil to jumpstart its operations in South Africa.
