CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — Two Maranaos were repeatedly stabbed to death while two others, including one of the suspected killers, were injured inside a house at a subdivision in Barangay Baligatan here on Feb. 28.
Police said the stabbing incident happened at around 11:50 before midnight.
Police Capt. Noralyn Andal, Ilagan police spokesman, said on Saturday that they have yet to determine the motive for the killing of Mokren Ismael and Johaiver Abaga, both Maranao natives, and wounding of another fellow, Jaber Ismael.
One of the suspected killers, a certain Rodrigo, was also wounded and brought to the hospital.
Another suspected killer, a certain Jerry, was collared and brought to the police for custody.

Probers said the men were allegedly having a drinking spree and apparently engaged in an altercation.
No one saw the stabbing incident, the knife used and the cause of the stabbing inside Amurao homes, a Muslim community in a subdivision, as it was already near midnight.
Splattered bloods were spotted by this correspondent in the area.
Police have been eyeing a personal grudge or a vendetta as cause of the incident, although a follow-up probe is still ongoing.
