AS a bright graduating tourism management student, Jarina Kumari Sandhu shines as Isabela's representative in the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) pageant.
In an exclusive interview with The Manila Times, Sandhu shared that her advocacy focuses on combating poverty, which not only deprives people of basic needs but also robs them of hope and opportunities.
"I want to be a voice for those whose futures are dimmed by hardship," said Sandhu.
"My goal is to create opportunities and spread hope, so that every Filipino — especially the children — has the chance to live a fuller, brighter life," she added.
Beyond her advocacy, Sandhu shared her personal aspiration to become a flight attendant, driven by a heartfelt goal: to bring her mom back to India.
