As of 4 p.m. yesterday, PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja said the monsoon is intensifying in the western section of Mindanao.

MANILA, Philippines — Super Typhoon Inday (international name Bavi) is enhancing the southwest monsoon as it enters today the Philippine area of responsibility, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
As of 4 p.m. yesterday, PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja said the monsoon is intensifying in the western section of Mindanao.
Rains are expected in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, Soccsksargen, Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte.
Inday will exit PAR by Saturday.
The Philippine Coast Guard is on heightened alert, in preparation for Inday’s possible impact.
