MANILA, Philippines — ABS-CBN’s hit action series “Incognito” continues to captivate and thrill viewers, maintaining high primetime TV ratings and consistently in the Top 10 most-watched series on Netflix Philippines

With breathtaking scenes shot in Japan, Italy, Palawan, Baguio and Benguet, “Incognito” has drawn rave reviews and earned new audiences awed by how the ABS-CBN series has redefined and elevated Philippine action series. It is also a testament to the grit and brotherhood among the cast.

At a recent media conference, the actors shared how the show challenged them physically, emotionally and professionally, from battling real snowstorms in Japan to forging a brotherhood among the cast.

“We really wanted an all-white feel,” explained Richard Gutierrez, referring to the show’s scenes shot in the snowy landscapes of Japan. “We got it and more. We experienced a legit snowstorm. Every day was a test for the whole team.”

Filming in sub-zero temperatures, even reaching -6 degrees Celsius, the cast and crew held on despite the brutal weather conditions.

‘Incognito’ cast walk through icy terrains in Japan.

“We just had to adapt and survive,” said Richard. “Hinahabol namin yung daylight and wearing waterproof gear was a must. We were there for almost two weeks.”

Daniel Padilla, who portrays the compassionate and courageous Andres, laughed as he recalled the challenges of shooting on ice.

“Natuklasan namin may nilalagay pala para hindi madulas — but last day na namin nalaman!” he recalled laughingly.

Baron Geisler, who plays the complex character Miguel, reflected on the deep connection he formed with his role and the team.

“We’ve been filming for six months. Kabisado ko na si Miguel,” Baron said. “Every time na may bagong script, I just automatically transform into him. I’m very grateful to the stars and the crew.”

More than just colleagues, the cast has built what they proudly call a brotherhood.

Kaila, Richard, Anthony and Daniel power through another wintry scene.

“Magkakampi kami on and off the set,” Daniel said. “Kahit mahirap, kami-kami yung nagbibigay ng lakas sa isa’t isa. Brotherhood talaga.”

For Anthony Jennings, the Italy leg of their shoot offered some of the most memorable experiences.

“Na-enjoy ko kasi buo yung grupo,” he shared. “Nagka-peklat ako sa tuhod. Binigyan ako ng core memory.”

The adventure and challenges in making “Incognito” and shooting around the world have strengthened the team’s camaraderie, which comes out authentically onscreen.

Kaila Estrada, who plays the strategic and courageous Max, shared how much she valued portraying a strong, nuanced female character.

“Max is the perfect balance of heart and head,” Kaila said. “JB (Richard’s character) is logical, while Andres (played by Daniel) is compassionate, and Max bonds with both because of that balance. I hope seeing characters like Max inspires young girls to be independent and have that fearlessness.”

Asked about the show’s consistent popularity on Netflix, the cast expressed deep gratitude.

“Sobrang grateful kami,” Jennings said. “Nakakalungkot na patapos na, but happy kami na nagustuhan ng tao yung characters namin.”

Maris Racal added, “This is one of my most challenging projects. Dagdagan mo pa ng extreme weather conditions — but with the support of our Kapamilya audience, sobrang natutuwa kami that people can relate to our characters’ struggles.”

Daniel pointed out the intense work poured into every scene. “Dugo’t pawis talaga ang binigay namin dito. Sana magustuhan niyo lalo yung ginawa namin sa Japan,” he said.

Richard considered “Incognito” as one of his most important works. He shared, “This is one of my Top 3 projects — a legacy project for me.”

He also emphasized the value of teamwork in achieving the impossible: “A mission is impossible if you’re doing it alone. But if you work with a team, nothing is impossible.”

As “Incognito” continues to enthrall viewers, fans are already clamoring for a second season — something the cast is eager to explore.

“Kahit mag-Season 2!” Daniel said enthusiastically.
