Rikki Mae Davao posted a touching tribute for her father, Ricky, who passed away earlier this month.
Along with endearing old photos of the two of them, Rikki Mae's list of all the things she will miss about her father will have her readers and followers sharing in her grief. "Watching him relax on his chair and watch the news with the volume too loud. Listening to him passionately tell stories that I've heard before (minsan sinasabayan ko na siya ) with the same excitement. All the mini sermons that I know come from his heart. Seeing his passion for his craft and his texts for me to watch his shows. I will miss how his eyes disappear when he starts laughing, especially after pranking us," she wrote.
"I will miss the smell of his room when he leaves. I will miss his excitement to bring us to places he likes, and his smile when we like it too. Most of all, I will miss calling him randomly to say hi, make chismis, ask for advice, or just talk," Rikkie Mae added wistfully.
Rikki thanked everybody who showered the family love when news about the death of Ricky broke and said it informed them what they knew all along. "That he is very, very loved."
Turning her attention to her dad, Rikkie said she "will never stop grieving for you."
"I still don't know how to live in a world without you, but I will make sure to live my life the best way I can, and I will honor you by striving to be a good person every day and always doing my best," Rikkie Mae said.
"Enjoy your unlimited mic time, dad. I know you and Mama are watching over us. Alam ko na tayo'y magkikita muli."
In the comment section, Jackie Lou Blanco assured their daughter that "he will never stop watching over you anak."
"A day at a time, I love you so much anak," she added.
Rikki Mae's tribute comes at the heels of her sister Ara's equally touching tribute.
News of Ricky Davao's death broke on May 2. According to his daughters, he passed from complications of cancer.
On Thursday, TiktoClock honored the actor and director that got Jackie Lou and Rikki Mae turning emotional.
Janine Desiderio performed one of the late actor's favorite songs “Araw Gabi.”
