ILOILO CITY — Police Col. Bayani Razalan has been relieved from his post as director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), a year after assuming the position.
The Police Regional Office Region-6 (PRO-6) confirmed Razalan's relief, and PRO-6 director Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky said the move was based on instructions from the Philippine National Police leadership in Camp Crame.
He clarified that no specific reason was cited in the order and emphasized that it was a decision from higher headquarters aimed at maintaining neutrality within the IPPO.
Pending clearance from the Commission on Elections (Comelec), Col. Rolando Bulalacao, PRO-6's current chief regional staff, will serve as officer in charge of the IPPO.
If the Comelec clearance is granted, Razalan will be temporarily reassigned to the regional office.
