International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) reinforced its commitment to Philippine sports by supporting the 2025 Manila Bulletin Newsmakers of the Year Awards, where Olympic boxers Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio were recognized for their performances at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
ICTSI, which operates ports across Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Africa, specializes in container handling focused on efficiency, safety, and seamless trade. Beyond logistics, the company integrates community development through the ICTSI Foundation, which supports youth development, social assistance, and environmental programs.
The company funds select Filipino athletes competing in local and international tournaments and backs school-based sports programs.
ICTSI previously recognized Filipino athletes in the 2024 Paris Olympics, including Villegas, Petecio, and gymnast Carlos Yulo. It also partnered with the Philippine Athletics and Track and Field Association to support the Olympic campaign of pole vaulter Ernest John Obiena and other national athletes. Additionally, ICTSI has extended support to Hidilyn Diaz, the country’s first Olympic gold medalist.
In golf, ICTSI plays a key role in developing elite players through strategic sponsorships. Among its supported athletes is Yuka Saso, a two-time U.S. Women’s Open champion with victories in 2021 and 2024. The company also backs LPGA Tour players Bianca Pagdanganan and Dottie Ardina, both of whom competed in Paris. Other ICTSI-supported golfers include Princess Superal, Pauline del Rosario, Daniella Uy, Chanelle Avaricio, Mafy Singson, and Abby Arevalo.
ICTSI has also contributed to the development of Miguel Tabuena, who represented the Philippines at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and Filipino-American Rico Hoey, currently playing on the PGA Tour. Beyond athlete sponsorships, ICTSI is a major supporter of the Philippine Golf Tour, the Ladies PGT, and the Junior PGT, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the sport and local golfing community.
