COTABATO CITY — The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Lanao del Sur chapter has recognized four lawyers and awarded them with the Golden Pillar of Law during a ceremony held on Monday in Marawi City.
Numeiry Padate, IBP-Lanao president, with guidance from IBP National President Allan Panolong, has recognized its “Golden Pillar Awardees,” not just for years of service but for a lifetime of dedication to justice.
“The award is in grateful recognition of 50 years of distinguished and dedicated service in the legal profession, upholding the ideals of justice, integrity and the rule of law, whether in private practice or public service,” Padate said in a statement on Tuesday.
The IBP-Lanao del Sur Golden Pillar of Law Awardees are Pangalian Balindong, former Lanao del Sur second district representative and currently the speaker of the Bangsamoro Parliament; Santos Adiong, former Regional Trial Court judge; Dimapuno Datu Ramos Sr., former Lanao Sur vice governor and journalist; and Talib Hamed, former labor attaché.
“Their firm commitment and invaluable contributions stand as a pillar of inspiration to the legal community,” said Dimapuno Datu Ramos Jr., son of one of the awardees and director of the National Commission on Muslim Filipino-National Capital Region, who attended the event.
