Ian de Leon has shared the last message he received from his late mother, Nora Aunor.

In Monday’s "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," which aired live from the Heritage Park in Taguig, Ian said that the Superstar’s last message to him was a quote about a mother's relationship with her children and grandchildren.

Ian read out her last message from his phone: “Panginoon, kahit saan man mapunta ang aking mga anak, pakiusap, hawakan mo sila, protektahan mo sila sa lahat ng panganib at palaging ihatid silang ligtas pauwi.”

In response, Ian told the award-winning actress, “I love you ma.”

Replying to Ian’s affirmation of love, Nora then told him to always take care and also send her regards to her grandchildren.

Please. Salamat, ingatan nawa lagi. God bless,'” he recalled.

Like Ian, Lotlot also shared the last conversation she had with her mom.

According to the actress, her conversation with Nora’s doctor reached her mom who messaged her, assuring her she is OK.

As an obedient child, Lotlot said she respected her mom’s wishes.

“So nung nag-usap kami nung huli, sabi ko, ‘Okay Ma, I respect your wishes.’

Nora passed away on April 16 at the age of 71. According to her son Ian, the National Artist died of acute respiratory failure.

The multi-awarded actress was named National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022. Some of her best films can be streamed online, including "Himala," "Minsa'y Isang Gamu-gamo," and "Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos."

In the wake of Nora's passing, many celebrities took to social media to honor her memory and unimpeachable legacy.

Her state necrological service will be held at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila on April 22, Tuesday to honor the National Artist. The rites will continue with a state funeral at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City.

The service is open to the public. Those who wish to attend may view the registration details here. The service will also be livestreamed.
