MANILA, Philippines — Netflix series "You and Everything Else" and the films "No Other Choice" and "The King's Warden" lead all nominees for the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards with seven each.
The long-running ceremony recognizes excellence in Korean film, television, and theater, with Grand Prizes or Daesang to be announced at the event itself on May 8.
"The King's Warden" and "No Other Choice" will go head-to-head in Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.
"No Other Choice" filmmaker Park Chan-wook may be favored in the Best Director category, but lead star Lee Byung-hun faces tough competition against Yoo Hae-jin.
The two categories "The King's Warden" is competing in but not with "No Other Choice" are the Gucci Impact Award and Best New Actor, although Park Ji-hoon should keep his eyes out for "Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy" star Ahn Hyo-Seop.
Meanwhile, "No Other Choice" will not be challenged by "The King's Warden" in the Best Technical Achievement and Best Actress races, the latter where Son Ye-jin may be a favorite to win.
The other three movies in the running for Best Film are "The Final Semester," "Good News," and "The World of Love."
The seven nominations of "You and Everything Else" are for Best Drama, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Technical Achievement, and double Best Actress nominations for stars Park Ji-hyun and Kim Go-eun.

Competing against "You and Everything Else" for Best Drama "Our Unwritten Seoul," "The Dream Life of Mr. Kim," "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty" and "Low Life."
In the stage categories, Baeksang Theater is a competition among "Last Interview," "A Mirror," "Sammaekyung," "End Wall," and "Jellyfish," while Best Musical features "The Longest Nights," "Laika," "Arang," "Red Hare ; Jeokto" and "Man in Hanbok."
Shin Dong-yup, Bae Suzy, and Park Bo-gum will return to host the ceremony for the eighth time as a trio.
Individually, this will Dong-yup's 12th time and ninth consecutive year, Bae Suzy's 11th consecutive year since joining in 2016, and Bo-gum's eighth time and fifth consecutive year since his military discharge.
Last year was highlighted by the four wins of "When Life Gives You Tangerines," including Best Drama and the three wins of the movie "Uprising."
The Daesang went to Hong Kyung-po, cinematographer of Best Film winner "Harbin" (the first time a director of photography was feted), and the reality competition show "Culinary Class Wars."
