House solons file EJK, rights defender bills on Human Rights Day

MANILA, Philippines — To mark International Human Rights Day, the Akbayan bloc in the House of Representatives filed two bills to counter what they said were “more rampant, normalized” human rights violations and impunity under the past two administrations. On Wednesday, Akbayan Reps. Chel Diokno, Perci Cendana, and Dadah Ismula, and Dinagat Islands Rep. Arlene
