The upcoming garden show will feature a plant competition and a premium marketplace, showcasing both local and international growers
After its successful event last February, Horti Filipina is bringing its biggest and grandest horticultural event to Cebu this June. This move aims to unite plant lovers and horticulturists across the Visayas region while spotlighting the area’s potential to elevate the national horticultural industry.
“Cebu is more than just a venue—it’s a cultural and ecological hub,” Horti Filipina told Manila Bulletin. “The city blends nature, heritage, and innovation, offering a platform for the growing community of plant collectors, gardeners, and nature lovers who have long awaited an event of this scale. It’s a landmark event that will bring horticulture to the forefront of public consciousness.”
The Horti Filipina International Plant Show in Cebu is set to run from June 20 to 22, 2025, at the Mountain Wing Atrium of SM Seaside City Cebu. Much like its previous editions, the event will feature a plant competition and a premium marketplace showcasing both local and international growers.
“Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet foreign exhibitors from Japan, Ecuador, Thailand, and Indonesia—providing Cebuanos with a unique chance to engage with global horticultural practices,” it said. “More importantly, this is a platform for showcasing Philippine native and endemic species, which are increasingly gaining recognition worldwide.”
The garden show organizer is also curating a lineup of renowned local horticulturists, international botanical experts, and advocates who will offer live talks, workshops, and guided walkthroughs. In addition, the Philippine Hot Sauce Club will showcase its artisan sauces along with the latest chili varieties and blends on the market.
“Known for its passion for flavor and spice, the club has also embraced the opportunity to connect with new buyers, constituents, and untapped markets—just as they did during the Manila show,” Horti Filipina said. “This collaboration is a fantastic way to elevate and spice up Philippine delicacies, engaging both hobbyists and culinary enthusiasts in the Visayan and Mindanao regions.”
The Horti Filipina International Plant Show in Cebu is held in partnership with the e-commerce agricultural platform Z.Trends. The full lineup and program will be released by early May through Horti Filipina’s official social media channels.
“Whether you’re an experienced collector, a curious beginner, or just passing by, get ready to be amazed by the spectacular displays—including rare and expensive plants ranging from thousands to millions of pesos,” Horti Filipina teased. “This event is not just an exhibit—it’s a celebration of plants as living art and cultural heritage, marking a breakthrough for Philippine horticulture on the world stage.”
