MANILA, Philippines — Home Credit Philippines, the country’s leading consumer finance company, has joined the real-time credit data exchange platform of LenderLink, a move expected to widen access to financing for millions of Filipinos while strengthening credit risk assessment across the lending sector.
By integrating into LenderLink’s network, Home Credit gains access to consent-based, real-time borrower data from multiple financial institutions. This allows Home Credit to build a more complete and up-to-date picture of applicants’ credit histories, helping it approve more qualified borrowers and detect potential fraud earlier.
“Joining LenderLink strengthens how we make credit decisions by grounding them in timely, consent-based information across the lending ecosystem,” said Zdenek Jankovsky, chief business development officer of Home Credit.
The real-time data exchange is also seen to improve approval rates by incorporating positive payment records that may not have been previously visible. This could enable more Filipinos – particularly those with limited credit histories – to access loans. At the same time, better visibility into existing obligations may help prevent over-borrowing and promote responsible lending.
LenderLink co-founder and CEO Christo Georgiev described the integration as a milestone in building shared credit infrastructure, noting that participation by a major lender enhances the ecosystem’s ability to assess risk and serve more borrowers responsibly.
“Home Credit’s integration represents a milestone in creating shared credit infrastructure in the Philippines,” Georgiev said, adding that “when a lender of this scale participates in secure, consent-based data sharing, it elevates the entire ecosystem’s ability to assess risk accurately and serve more Filipinos responsibly.”
LenderLink said its platform covers more than 45 million borrower records and over 1.5 million data exchanges.
