Philippine and US trade and economic officials discuss Philippines-US trade and investment relations in Washington.
WASHINGTON — Trade and economic officials from the Philippines met with United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer last May 2 in Washington to discuss mutually-beneficial ways to strengthen the bilateral relations.
The Philippine delegation was led by Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick Go, Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina Roque and Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez.
Both sides expressed optimism on the future of Phl-US trade and investment relations, especially in the context of economic security and fair, balanced and reciprocal trade.
Both sides welcomed the positive outcome of the discussions and underscored the importance of an economically and strategically strong partnership between the Philippines and the US.
