The creative minds behind Hey Pie People, an Alabang-based pie business, teamed up with Shake Shack for two new dessert items that combine their tasty handmade pies with rich and creamy frozen custard.

“I’ve always wanted to let more people try our pies, but being a literal mom and pop shop, I thought it was impossible given our limited capacity. Shake Shack is helping us bring the pies to the pie people,” Raeanne Sagan of Hey Pie People said.

The collaboration introduces two indulgent creations that highlight the restaurant chain’s signature vanilla frozen custard paired with the creative flair of Hey Pie People’s small-batch pies.

Mango Manchego Concrete (P330)

This treat blends the velvety vanilla frozen custard with Hey Pie People’s Mango Manchego Pie.

This dessert is a symphony of flavors: the creamy custard pairs with the salty Manchego filling, tangy mango, and grated cheese for a perfectly balanced bite.

On top of that, every purchase of this dessert contributes to CENTEX, Ayala Foundation’s education program supporting underserved Filipino communities.

Hey Banana Fanna Toffee Shake (P335)

Inspired by the fun and catchy “The Name Game” song, this shake is a playful mix of flavors.

Vanilla frozen custard is blended with Hey Pie People’s Banana Cream Pie, a black sesame toffee sauce, crunchy toffee bits, and a black sesame mix. Finished with Hey Pie People’s signature flaky crust, the shake is a nostalgic treat reminiscent of local peanut brittle.

The Shake Shack x Hey Pie People desserts will be available in all Manila Shacks (except NAIA Terminal 3) from January 23 to March 23. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
