Herbosa tells the poor: No need to get guarantee letters from pols when sick

MANILA, Philippines — Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa on Wednesday emphasized that patients do not need guarantee letters (GLs) from politicians to cover their hospital bills under the zero-balance billing program. Under the program, patients admitted to Department of Health (DOH) hospitals are no longer required to pay for medical services, medicines and doctors’ professional fees, as
