MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez opened up about her struggles on dealing with postpartum after giving birth to her first child.

The winner of the latest season of "America's Got Talent" revealed her story in a social media post.

"Postpartum is a feeling no one really prepares you for. It's love so deep it hurts, joy mixed with exhaustion, gratitude tangled with tears. Your body feels unfamiliar, your heart feels fuller than ever, and every emotion shows up uninvited," Jessica wrote.

Jessica advised her fellow mothers to be kind to themselves during the process.

"Healing isn't linear. Becoming a mother changes you forever softly, loudly, beautifully, painfully," she said.

"If you're in this season, give yourself time, give yourself grace,” she added.

Jessica announced her pregnancy during her "America's Got Talent" audition.

She welcomed her daughter Eliana last October.
