MANILA, Philippines — Last November 19, the Solaire Grand Ballroom buzzed with revelry and excitement. It wasn't just HCG’s 30th anniversary in the Philippines, it was a homecoming. Hundreds of guests, dressed to the nines in elegant Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog, gathered to celebrate the major milestone.

For the country’s leading bathroom solutions provider, this night was about trust and partnerships—recognizing the dedicated employees, top management, industry partners, and long-standing distributors who have helped made HCG a household name.

A night of gratitude

The festivities kicked off with high spirits as host Gretchen Ho and HCG Senior Manager for Distributorship Paul Wu welcomed everyone. They then introduced the explosive performance by the HCG Dance Company. Yes, this talented troupe is composed entirely of HCG employees!

For HCG Philippines Chairman Patrick Chiu, it was a night of gratitude.

He shared: “It is with immense pride and gratitude that I welcome all of you to this very celebration, HCG's 30th anniversary. Tonight, we look back on three decades of excellence, resilience and innovation. But more than that, we celebrate the people and partnerships that have shaped us to who we are today.”

“To our distributors, thank you for bringing HCG into countless homes. To our developers, corporate partners and business partners, your confidence in our brand has pushed us to keep improving, setting higher standards year after year,” Chiu said.

Plaques of appreciation were then awarded to deserving industry partners including the local government of Taguig City, the Department of Trade and Industry, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, United Architects of the Philippines, Philippine Institute of Architects  and Philippine Institute of Interior Designers.

In a touching moment, Board Director Scott Chiu personally recognized two steadfast partners: the Belo Family and the Gotianun Family.

“Even before we had a factory here in the Philippines, you believed in our brand,” Scott Chiu noted. “You pioneered with us, supported our locally produced products, and helped us build the foundation of what we have today.”

Past, present and the future

The anniversary’s theme, “Rooted in Heritage, Shaped by Innovation,” perfectly captured the company’s trajectory.

Founder Hocheng Chiu started the vision in Taiwan in 1931. By 1995, global demand led to the establishment of Hocheng Philippines Corporation (HPC), followed by the opening of a massive 10-hectare plant in the First Cavite Industrial Estate in 1997.

For three decades, the company has fused global technology with Filipino creativity and ingenuity. But HCG isn't just about bathrooms anymore.

At the event, HCG Philippines President Eugene Lin proudly announced the company's bold future: total home solutions. Adapting to the modern Filipino family, HCG is now expanding into the kitchen and laundry spaces.

For the kitchen, HCG introduces smart systems and space-optimized designs to empower users to not just cook but connectand create a beautiful home.The same with laundry solutions that are both smart, safe and modular to turn everyday chores into everyday comfort living.

But what is the future without healthy people and planet? Coinciding with World Toilet Day, the anniversary highlighted the brand's promise to serve Filipino communities and protect the environment.

“For 30 years, HCG has been here to serve the Filipino people—providing quality products thatbring comfort, cleanliness, and hygiene into every home.As we mark World Toilet Day, we are reminded why we are doing this—because everyone deserves access to comfort, dignity and quality product,” Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing David Chang said.

From partnering with UNICEF to improve sanitation in remote communities to donating toilets to public schools, HCG is giving back.

The company is also doubling down on sustainability by producing water-efficient “green” fixtures and transitioning its facilities to 100% clean energy, among others.

A grand celebration

The anniversary wasn't all speeches and formalities. The celebration reached a crescendo during the ceremonial toast, where executives and owners stood shoulder-to-shoulder, raising their glasses to resilience and success.

The ballroom then transformed into a concert scene. Singer Daryl Ong set a soulful tone for dinner, while lucky guests took home hotel and buffet gift certificates during the raffle.

Finally, the night ended on a high note with OPM icons—and proud HCG brand ambassadors—the Itchyworms. Their high-octane set had guests singing along to familiar hits, capping the evening with the kind of vibrant camaraderie that defines the HCG family.

From a strong heritage to exciting new horizons, HCG proved that 30 years is just the beginning.
