Hailey Bieber took to social media to reveal that she has two ovarian cysts.
On Instagram Story, the wife of Justin Bieber shared a selfie showing her stomach.
“Currently have two ovarian cysts,” Hailey wrote. “If you deal with ovarian cysts, I’m right here with you!”
According to Mayo Clinic, Ovarian cysts “are sacs, usually filled with fluid, in an ovary or on its surface.”
When cysts are small, they are usually asymptomatic. However, the usual symptoms include dull abdominal pain, many times described simply as heaviness; or something vague like low back pains.
While ovarian cysts are generally harmless, women are advised to visit a doctor when the sizes grow bigger than 6 cm.
In a 2021 episode of “Pinoy MD,” OB-GYN Dr. Raul Quillamor said it is still possible for women with ovarian cysts to have a baby.
