Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is bringing two of his globally recognized restaurant brands to Mactan Island, marking the latest expansion of his culinary footprint in the Philippines.

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay are slated to open by midyear at The Mactan Newtown, a 30-hectare township in Lapu-Lapu City developed by Megaworld. These will be the first Philippine branches of the casual dining concepts, following the 2023 opening of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill at Newport World Resorts in Manila.

The announcement comes on the heels of Ramsay’s first visit to Manila earlier this year, a milestone that underscored his growing presence in Asia. Known for his Michelin-starred acclaim and straightforward approach to food, Ramsay continues to roll out concepts that blend global flavors with accessible, quality-driven menus.

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips will serve its modern take on the British classic through a fast-casual, counter-style setup. Alongside the signature fish and chips, the menu will include lobster and shrimp, "dirty" chips, and indulgent milkshakes. Right next door, Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay aims to reimagine the American diner experience. Among its bold offerings: the “Idiot Burger,” “G.F.C. (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) Burger,” and “O.G.R. Burger.”

“Cebu is a dynamic center of tourism in the Philippines; and our township in Mactan Island is the perfect tourism hub in a prime location near the airport,” said Kevin L. Tan, executive chairman of Travellers International Hotel Group, Inc. (TIHGI), the developer behind the project. “With the entry of Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay, we will introduce dynamic dining concepts that will further enhance the township’s appeal, not just for visitors, but also for the growing community who live and work there.”

The Mactan Newtown is already home to nine residential towers, eight office buildings, two hotels with more than 1,100 rooms, and the Newtown School of Excellence. Soon, it will add the Mactan Expo—the region’s largest standalone convention center—and the Mactan World Museum.

The partnership with Ramsay is part of TIHGI’s broader strategy to bring international dining experiences to the country. As a subsidiary of Alliance Global Group Inc., the company continues to expand its hospitality offerings in line with global standards.

Ramsay’s restaurant group, founded in 1997, operates 32 venues in the UK and 92 internationally. The group holds eight Michelin stars in total, including three for Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London, which has maintained that distinction for over two decades.
