MANILA, Philippines — Beloved veteran actress Gloria Romero was cremated today, Jan. 29, following her passing on Jan. 25 at the age of 91.
Romero's wake was held at Arlington Memorial Chapels on Araneta Avenue, Quezon City, with the public given a chance to pay their respects from Jan. 27 to Jan. 28.
During the necrological service on Tuesday night, industry colleagues remembered Romero's legacy. Boots Anson-Roa Rodrigo, Amy Perez, and Jillian Ward were among the celebrities who gave eulogies.
Romero is survived by her only child, Marissa Gutierrez, and her grandson, former actor Chris Gutierrez.
The actress had an illustrious career in movies and television for over seven decades. She had more than 250 film and television credits, including "Dalagang Ilocana" (1954), "Tanging Yaman" (2000), and "Magnifico" (2003).

She was also an award-winning actress, with three FAMAS Awards, two Gawad Urian Awards, and three Metro Manila Film Festival recognitions to her name.
