Globe taps First Gen to power Mindanao, Caloocan sites

MANILA, Philippines — Ayala-backed Globe Telecom Inc. has tapped First Gen Corp. to supply renewable energy to key facilities in Mindanao and Caloocan, shifting part of its power requirements away from imported fuel. Three Globe facilities in Mindanao will receive electricity from geothermal energy while a site in Caloocan City will get supply from hydropower.
