Globe exceeds network upgrade forecast

Globe Business, the enterprise arm of Globe Telecom Inc., is expecting substantial growth in its business-to-business (B2B) services this year, driven by the rising demand for digital solutions among small and medium-sized companies.

Globe Business Head KD Dizon told reporters on Thursday, March 13, that the shift in perception towards embracing digital transformation coincides with the government’s emphasis on pushing digitalization and wider connectivity.

The government, through the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), has been pushing businesses to go digital in order to boost their competitiveness on the global stage.

“I think it’s going to be a very exciting year, and an exciting few years to come for Globe Business,” said Dizon.

Last year, Globe Business was one of the fastest-growing units within the whole Globe umbrella.

Dizon said this shall continue in 2025 as the company brings in new digital solutions and products for its B2B clients.

“That's why we do a lot of partnerships as well. We look for what are the solutions out there that the customers need,” she added.

In particular, Globe Business will ramp up its consultative approach with its clients to understand certain “pain points” that hold businesses down, which will be especially useful for small and medium-sized firms.

Dizon said they will help clients build their respective roadmaps to guide them in their digital transformation needs and beyond.

This year, Globe Business is looking for clients in finance, information technology and business process management (IT-BPM), supply chain, and retail—sectors it considers as areas ready for huge growth.

“These are all very, very fast-growing industries and those that are very open to a lot of digital transformation. So, those are some of the ones that are really a focus for us,” explained Dizon.

Globe Business earlier announced that it was tapped by food service group Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. (SPAVI) to upgrade its order management system.

It said solutions, such as access to point-of-sale (POS) systems, centralized data-sharing, and real-time monitoring, will be deployed to address operational inefficiencies within SPAVI.

Dizon said this type of strategic partnership is exactly what Globe Business is trying to pursue with its B2B services.

“It's actually a very good model to try to build a very strong relationship, so that you actually also grow with them and then you're also part of their success,” she said.
