MANILA, Philippines — Megaworld subsidiary Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI) is kicking off the development in its beachside township in Batangas through an exclusive residential village, which is expected to generate P7 billion in sales.

GERI said it would develop a residential village called Villa Scala within the 116-hectare Nascala Coast in Nasugbu.

Spanning 18 hectares, Villa Scala is a nature-oriented coastal residential community that will offer 217 lots, with prime lot sizes ranging from 407 square meters to 1,081 square meters.

“Villa Scala captures the essence of Nasugbu’s distinct allure, where pristine beaches, breathtaking mountain vistas and a deep appreciation for nature welcome everyone,” Megaworld Global-Estate Inc. first vice president Rachelle Hernandez said.

“With this village, we envision to continue developing Nascala Coast into a thriving coastal address where generations of families can flourish,” Hernandez said.

GERI said Villa Scala would feature landscaped parks and lush areas, with nearly 40 percent of the entire village to be dedicated to open spaces.

Roads will be as wide as 51 meters and the village will implement an underground cabling system for both electrical and telecommunication utilities to further preserve the panoramic views, the company said.

GERI targets to start development of Villa Scala by next year, with target completion by 2032.

“Being situated within the premium coastal corridor of Nasugbu, Batangas – a high-value coastal address home to some of the country’s most exclusive luxury resorts and private beach communities-Villa Scala is emerging as an ideal destination for those who enjoy the coastal lifestyle,” the company said.

“The development is set to become a premier maritime destination, with future residents soon gaining access to a nearby marina facility designed for yachting, sailing and high-end marine leisure activities,” it said.

GERI’s Nascala Coast is an integrated leisure estate eyed to become a tourism and leisure development that will feature residential villages and beachside condominium clusters together with commercial hubs, leisure destinations, expansive commercial lots, mixed-use centers and town centers.

Nascala Coast is 2.5 hours from Metro Manila and an hour from Tagaytay.
