One hundred-fifty civic-minded guests gathered in a remarkable evening at the elegant ballroom of Shangri-La The Fort for a special Child Protection Dinner 2025.
Kindred souls, headed by CPN founder, the esteemed David Bradley, and his wife Katherine, along with local philanthropists, donors and personalities from business, society and the academe, all contributed generously to support CPN’s invaluable fight against child abuse.
In support of this pressing and most worthy cause, star chefs Josh Boutwood, Miko Calo and Joris Rycken each donated their talent to cook up a multi-course feast that took guests on an outstanding culinary journey.
Before dinner was served, CPN president Irene Martel-Francisco thanked all those who attended the soldout charity event. CPN founder David Bradley, who flew in for the occasion from Washington DC, also took to the stage to personally thank each and every one who made the meaningful evening possible.

Founded 20 years ago, the Child Protection Network Foundation (CPN) continues on its mission to provide compassionate and competent services to abused children in the Philippines. Under the capable leadership of executive director Dr. Bernie Madrid, it currently operates 149 women and children protection units (WCPUs) across the country, providing crucial access to medical, psychological and legal services to victims of violence against women and children.
Last year alone, over 14,000 children and women were served by WCPUs across 68 provinces and 10 cities in the Philippines. Today, CPN continues to expand its work to include the prevention of online child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Apart from tickets to the plated dinner-for-a-cause, the evening also raised much-needed funds through a spirited auction.
Event host Issa Litton and auctioneer Tonico Manahan successfully bid out donated lots that included artworks from Leon Gallery, Monica Zobel de Ayala and Tarzeer Pictures; a watch from Vintage Grail; and unique travel experiences which brought in a combined total of over P10 million with 100 percent of the proceeds going to CPN’s mission to keep children around the country safe, healthy and protected from all forms of violence and abuse.
