Actor Baron Geisler was briefly detained in Mandaue City, Cebu, after being arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance while intoxicated.

Lt. Col. Mercy Villaro, spokesperson of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), in an interview posted by Bombo Radyo Cebu, said authorities responded to a report at around 3 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 regarding Geisler's behavior.

His brothers-in-law reportedly called the police after the actor began throwing objects inside their residence.

Geisler was arrested for violating Mandaue City Ordinance No. 11-2008-434, which penalizes drunkenness or severe intoxication. He was reportedly released a few hours later after paying a P500 penalty.

Villaro confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.

Geisler's old mugshot is making rounds on social media and is being reposted by several Facebook pages. Following the incident, the 42-year-old Geisler took to social media to address what he called "misinformation" surrounding his arrest.

"Irresponsible journalism has blown things out of proportion, creating unnecessary confusion. I want to make it clear — I'm okay, and I'm seeking legal advice to address this properly," he said in his social media post.

On Monday, Feb. 24, his wife shared an Instagram story showing Geisler at a script reading for an upcoming film with Beauty Gonzalez.

Geisler is currently starring in the action series "Incognito" alongside Daniel Padilla, Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, among others.
