MANILA, Philippines — Gasoline prices are increasing today, December 9, fuel companies announced.
In separate advisories, Petron, Jetti, Unioil, Cleanfuel, Caltex, Seaoil, PetroGazz and Shell said they will implement a P1.20 per liter increase on gasoline.
There will be no price movement for diesel and kerosene.
Most oil firms will apply the adjustment beginning 6 a.m., while Cleanfuel will implement the increase later in the afternoon at 4:01 p.m.
According to media reports, tomorrow’s price movement is influenced by geopolitical tensions, which have kept premiums and freight costs elevated.
Regional demand has also tightened Asian gasoline supply due to lower exports from China and South Korea.
Last week, gasoline prices also rose by P0.20 per liter, while diesel prices rolled back by P2.90 per liter.
Oil firms likewise implemented a P3.20 decrease earlier.
