Gallery by Chele has reentered the esteemed Asia's 50 Best Restaurants this year, landing in the 72nd spot of the extended list.
The prestigious body described the 12-year-old dining destination located in BGC, Taguig, as a "rural farmhouse in an urban jungle," and said the CVs of Chefs Chele Gonzalez and Carlos Villaflor reads "like a roll call of Spain's best restaurants."
"In the industry, Chele is known as the innovative chef inspired by the bonds he establishes with growers, producers, breeders makers and communities he meets on his travels and channels into his six-course tasting menu," it added.
It is the only Philippine restaurant included in the restaurants that ranked 51-100.
On Instagram, Gallery by Chele thanked the World's 50 Best organization and dedicated the recognition "to our incredible team. Your hard work and commitment are just extraordinary."
"Also, we want to extend a warm thank you to all our patrons and everyone who believed in us over the years," they added as they signaled new experiences and new adventures this year.
The 12-year-old Gallery by Chele is known and loved for its innovative and delicious tasting menus that put the spotlight on Filipino cuisine and Filipino ingredients, that it's become something of a a dining destination.
When it celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023, Gallery by Chele collaborated with fellow rockstar chefs for a 10-course dinner that highlighted the restaurant's allure.
The extended ranking of best restaurants in Asia — from 51st to 100th — dropped on Thursday, ahead of the announcement of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, which will take place March 25 in Seoul, South Korea.
