MANILA, Philippines — Fisher Mall has introduced its own sardines brand, Fisher’s Best Sardines, as it seeks to offer an affordable option to consumers while supporting local fishermen.
Fisher Mall said the sardines are directly sourced from Zamboanga fishermen and are available in two variants: Original (with Tomato Sauce) and Chili-Added. Each can, weighing 155 grams, costs P22, according to the mall.
The sardines cans feature easy-open lids and contain Omega-3, providing Filipino families with a high-quality staple that bridges tradition and modern lifestyle needs, Fisher Mall said.
“Fisher Mall has always been a reflection of our roots,” said Raymond del Rosario, president of Fisher Mall Group of Companies.
“With Fisher’s Best Sardines, we are celebrating the hardworking fisherfolk whose dedication makes this possible, while innovating to create products that support their livelihoods and meet the evolving needs of our customers,” Del Rosario added.
Fisher Mall said the release of its own sardines brand “reconnects” it to its fishing roots while celebrating the Del Rosario family’s decades-long heritage in supporting local fisherfolk.
Beyond the rollout of the sardines, Fisher Mall plans to expand its Quezon City branch next year by creating additional spaces.
The additional spaces will serve both tenants and local suppliers, including Zamboanga fisherfolk, to increase their reach to consumers in Metro Manila, Fisher Mall said.
The mall vowed to continue hosting community-focused events and shared activity spaces, reinforcing its dual mission of retail innovation and social impact.
“As we move into 2026, Fisher Mall remains dedicated to uplifting local communities, expanding meaningful retail choices, and creating experiences that reflect our values of tradition, quality and social responsibility,” Del Rosario said.
