MANILA, Philippines — With more Filipinos becoming intentional about how they spend their time, running has emerged as one of the most accessible ways to stay active and support overall well-being.
For many, motivation comes from the satisfaction of crossing the finish line. For others, it is about pushing further—improving time and pace and building the discipline needed to exceed personal limits. At its core, running today reflects a more mindful approach to caring for oneself over time.
Panasonic Philippines, in partnership with Mizuno and organized by RunRio, is hosting its first-ever Panasonic Run on May 16 at the SM Mall of Asia Complex.

Through the Panasonic Run, we hope to gather runners of all levels in a shared experience that blends fitness, community, and celebration, reflecting our long-standing culture of excellence and collective appreciation,” Nori Kurashina, president of Panasonic Major Appliance Philippines, shared.
The run for excellence
Participants can choose from 3km, 5km, 10km and 16km race categories for the fun run, created for both recreational runners and seasoned athletes looking for a greater challenge.
Each race finisher will receive a loot bag containing Panasonic merchandise and freebies from partners like Mizuno.
Top runners per category will receive brand-new Panasonic appliances as prizes, including a refrigerator, an air conditioner, a washing machine and dryer, a vacuum cleaner and a stand fan.
This is part of Panasonic’s commitment to equipping Filipino homes with Japan-quality solutions influenced its philosophy of “A Century of True Japanese Excellence”.
Celebrate your race in style
After the race, the Panasonic Race Village will host a Panasonic brand talk and live DJ performance, while runners can relax at the Panasonic AC Fresh Zone and Washer Photobooth.
There will also be booths by Healthy&Pure Brand (Maris Pure) as the official hydration partner, Pocari Sweat as the official electrolyte partner, along with brand sponsors: The Matcha Tokyo, Kraken Takoyaki, Fitbar, Diabetasol, Lawson, Meiji, C-Vitt, Dr Kong, Salonpas, Hey!
