MANILA, Philippines — Fire broke out at a Landers branch in Fairview, Quezon City early Wednesday, January 28, reaching the fifth alarm, fire officials said.
The fire was declared under first alarm at around 4:44 a.m. and was quickly raised to the fifth alarm by 5:15 a.m. due to the intensity of the blaze.
A fifth alarm fire indicates a major blaze requiring multiple fire units and personnel.
Authorities declared the fire under control at 8:01 a.m.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities, while investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and the extent of damage.
