MANILA, Philippines — After three consecutive weeks of rollbacks, fuel prices are set to rise again on Tuesday, February 18.

Oil firms announced a price hike of P0.80 per liter for both diesel and gasoline, while kerosene users will see a smaller increase of P0.10 per liter.

Shell Pilipinas, CleanFuel, Seaoil, Caltex and PetroGazz confirmed the adjustments in separate advisories on Monday, February 17.

The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau attributed the slight increase to rising tensions in the Middle East and tighter sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran and Russia's oil sectors.

Last week, gasoline and diesel prices dropped by P0.10 per liter, while kerosene had a P0.30 per liter reduction.

The previous rollback was driven by easing geopolitical tensions in Gaza, but renewed challenges in the region are now contributing to this week's anticipated price hike.

In Metro Manila, the prevailing retail prices per liter of petroleum products from February 11 to February 17 were:

  • Gasoline (RON97/100) - P70.87
  • Gasoline (RON95) - P70.70
  • Gasoline (RON91) - P59.45
  • Diesel - P56.70
  • Diesel Plus - P59.70
  • Kersone - P75.16

Following this week's adjustments, the total net increase for 2025 amounts to P4.05 per liter for gasoline, P4.35 per liter for diesel and P2.70 per liter for kerosene.
