MANILA, Philippines — Father’s Day is a time to honor the men who serve as pillars of strength, guidance, and love within Filipino families.

This year's celebrations are made even more special with his favorite sweet treats and eats that will not only satisfy his palate but also the whole family as they opt to celebrate in their homes or in their favorite dining destinations.

Michelin, butter-aged steaks

If Dad loves his steak, he and the family can check out the Michelin-recognized CRU Steakhouse and Kusina Sea Kitchens in Newport World Resorts.

At CRU, the family can enjoy premium cuts and signature steakhouse specialties in a refined dining setting with its signature open kitchen.

The halal-certified kitchen and dining destination, Kusina Sea Kitchens at Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts, meanwhile presents a Father’s Day Buffet on June 21 at P3,500 per person.

Buffet highlights include Butter-Aged Ribeye Steak, Lobster Thermidor, Seafood Paella, and a Premium Seafood Dampa Medley, alongside specialty desserts such as the Baileys Timepiece Cake and Tie and Coffee Cake. Dads dining on the day also have a chance to take home a charcoal griller and an ultimate meat package through a raffle draw.

At Casa Buenas, the Hapag ni Itay set menu is already good for two at P 3,410 nett on June 21. The meal begins with pika-pika favorites such as Okoy, Laing Panipuri, and Talaba, followed by Tuna Panga sa Tinola. The main course features Sous Vide Beef Steak Tagalog paired with Seafood Aligue Fried Rice, before ending on a sweet note with Banana, Muscovado, and Coconut Harmony. Lunch and dinner are available in four seatings: lunch at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner at 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Art of Japanese dining

At Yamazato, the Michelin-recognized Japanese fine dining restaurant at Hotel Okura Manila at Newport World Resorts, Father’s Day celebrations extend from June 15 to 21. Guests dining on June 21 and ordering any Father’s Day set will receive a special cocktail, a complimentary engraved Tamnavulin whisky glass, and an exclusive gift.

Menu highlights include the Father’s Day Obento Kaiseki at P4,500++, featuring chilled egg with Tanqueray gin jelly, grilled conger eel, lotus root, sea urchin, chef’s selection sashimi, and scallops in butter and soy. The Father’s Day Teppan Special starts at P7,000++, showcasing deep-fried seasonal pike conger and Kuroge Wagyu A5 sirloin with hoba miso. For a refined sushi experience, the Father’s Day Omakase Sushi at P12,000++ presents premium selections such as chu-toro, o-toro, snow crab, akauni, and eel.

Ginzadon, meanwhile, has its Father’s Day Special Salmon Teriyaki set available until June 21 at P900 nett. The set includes grilled salmon with lemon garlic butter sauce, served with rice, sides, soup, and dessert. At Happy 8, families can gather over the Dimsum All-You-Can offer at P1,350 nett per person, or P1,998 nett inclusive of drinks. Smoky sips

Sheraton Manila Hotel at Newport World Resorts offers Smoky Sips throughout June at The Lounge, available daily from 10 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. The collection features smoked interpretations of four cocktail classics: Manhattan, Whisky Sour, Negroni, and Martini, priced at P300 nett each.

At Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts, Port Bar introduces three Father’s Day cocktails for June: the Port Father’s Day with gin, cacao liqueur, lemon, and IPA foam at P450 nett; the Tagalog Sour with whisky, calamansi, and egg whites at P300 nett; and the Chili Smoked Negroni with Tarsier Khao San, Laphroaig Whisky, Campari, and sweet vermouth at P525 nett. Madison Lounge & Bar offers a different take on the celebration with its Creamy Butterscotch coffee, made with espresso, butterscotch, almond, and cheesecake foam at P375 nett, alongside the Baileys Timepiece Whole Cake at P2,600++.
