MANILA, Philippines — Sabrina Carpenter's lively "Sabrinawood" fantasy world at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has Filipino fans recalling when the pop singer was just starting out.

The artist debuted at Coachella in 2024, introducing everyone to hit track "Espresso," but just six years prior, Sabrina was doing mall shows for her first visit to the Philippines.

At the time, Sabrina was working up to the release of her third album "Singular: Act I" and during that 2018 visit, the singer dropped by the variety show "ASAP."

There she performed the single "Almost Love" alongside Filipino rapper Shanti Dope, eventually spawning a version of that song which today also has an acoustic and mixed versions.

Since then, Sabrina has gone on to release a second extended play and four more albums, including the Grammy-winning "Short n' Sweet," which carried "Espresso" as well as "Please Please Please," "Taste" and "Bed Chem."

Shanti Dope, meanwhile, recently released "Ramdam Mo Ba?," "Bloods & Crips" and "One Take Freestyle" and this April 24 is dropping new single, "Kahinaan Ko."
