Romantic-comedy icon Bridget Jones is back for one final, heartwarming adventure in "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy."
Two-time Academy Award-winner Renée Zellweger reprises her beloved role as Bridget, who navigates the trials of life and love as a single mother after the tragic loss of her husband, Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth. The film opens in Philippine cinemas on February 12, just in time for Valentine's Day.
Set years after Darcy's untimely death during a humanitarian mission, the story follows Bridget, now raising her two children, 9-year-old Billy and 4-year-old Mabel.
Stuck in emotional limbo, she relies on her loyal friends and even former flame Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) to help her rediscover joy. Encouraged to step back into the world of dating and adventure, Bridget's journey is filled with hilarious missteps and touching moments as she reclaims her zest for life.
The film's stellar cast includes Emma Thompson, Leo Woodall, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Isla Fisher, bringing to life a heartfelt narrative that celebrates resilience, love, and the chaos of modern family life. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michael Morris ("To Leslie," "Better Call Saul"), the movie features a screenplay by BAFTA nominee Helen Fielding, based on her bestselling novel.
