Actress, model, and former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Cora Waddell went on YouTube to share a life update and why she went on hiatus from showbiz.

The Filipina-American celebity began her career when she moved from Florida to the Philippines to pursue a career in the media. She initially worked as a model and eventually appeared in several movies projects such as Diary ng Panget: The Movie (2014), Talk Back and You're Dead (2014), Recipe for Love (2018); and and TV shows like Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7, Pusong Ligaw (2017), Bagani (2018) and more.

In a vlog from her YouTube channel Coraleen Waddell, she opened up about how she pursued a career in the media and why she took a break.

Cora said, "After college I was very interested in media. I wanted to know how films were produced, how videos were made. So I did, I went to the Philippines after college and got every single job that I could in the media.

"In the 10+ years that I was working in the Philippines, I kind of was able to touch every form of media available at the time. I did movies, TV shows, telenovelas...pretty much every kind of media I could get my hands on. Billboards, magazines, websites, music videos, storefront windows, fashion shows, underwear shows, and I even got to be in a few viral videos. And I did a reality show as well."

She revealed her reason for temporarily leaving the limelight. "After ten years or more of media work, I was given an opportunity I just couldn't turn down. I was graced with a chance to have a baby. It wasn't too long before she took over my entire life. She's all I wanted to focus on, and I knew I really didn't have much time to have much time to have a child and to focus on that child. So, I took four or five years off just to focus on these precious years and I don't regret any of it. It was probably the best and most fulfilling time of my life," Cora said, referring to her daughter, Leila, with former husband Terence Lloyd.

Currently, Cora is building her own jewelry brand and has been passionately learning gem cutting. She shared, "Creatively speaking, I have spent years working on a craft. I've really gotten into gem cutting. I've been pouring my passion and creativity into that since I eased up on YouTube and it's been wonderful."

"I'm really proud to say I'm building a brand, it's going to have jewelry and all these little beautiful things that bring me joy and hopefully there will be a market for others to find joy and happiness in those products.

As for her love life, Cora said, "I think this chapter's more of learning to love yourself and the life you've built for yourself so that when you meet someone that's really great and suitable you're ready. I guess this is that journey."
