"Emily in Paris" has announced its cast for its upcoming season, but a major character from seasons one to four is nowhere to be found in the cast announcement.

According to a press statement on Tudum by Netflix, cast members Lily Collins (Emily Cooper), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Thalia Besson (Genevieve), and Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello) are all returning for Season 5.

However, Camille Razat, who played the role of Camille, Emily's frenemy, was not mentioned as a returning character.

In September 2024, "Emily in Paris" announced that Season 5 is underway—but this time, it will be set in Rome.

"There's no place like Rome," Lily said in the teaser video.

In the same month, "Emily in Paris" released Part 2 of its fourth season, which included scenes set in Rome.

"Emily in Paris" follows the story of Emily, a Chicago marketing executive assigned to Paris to provide an American perspective at a Parisian marketing firm.

Created by Darren Star, the light-hearted rom-com immediately caught viewers' attention when it was first released in October 2020. —Hermes Joy Tunac/MGP, GMA Integrated News
