MANILA, Philippines—The Japan B.League will bring its preseason showcase to Manila in September, staging the “Manila Games” at Mall of Asia Arena.
The league officially unveiled the event on Thursday at SM Megamall, confirming that AJ Edu’s Gunma Crane Thunders and Dwight Ramos’ Levanga Hokkaido will headline the two-game set.

Ramos, who attended the launch, hopes Filipino fans will turn up in full force at MOA Arena.
“I know there may be a lot of players they (Filipinos) don’t know about but hopefully, there would still be a lot of Filipinos there to watch [the games],” said the Gilas Pilipinas guard.
“Hopefully, there’s a mix in the whole arena if Japanese fans fly here.”

Levanga enters the Manila Games after finishing with a franchise-best 37-23 record in the regular season.
Gunma, meanwhile, is coming off a quarterfinal exit at the hands of Chiba Jets, led by Quentin Millora-Brown.
Before facing off in Manila, Edu and Ramos will first team up for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2027 Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers this July.
