MANILA, Philippines — Police are tracking down a motorist who drove away without paying P1,500 worth of fuel at a gas station in Quezon City yesterday.
Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio ordered a manhunt for the driver of a white Toyota Vios with license plate NCN-1145.
The incident happened at a gas station at the corner of Payatas Road and Empire street in Barangay Payatas at 3:10 a.m.
Closed-circuit television footage showed a female attendant closing the vehicle’s gas tank lid after pumping fuel.
The driver sped off without paying for the fuel.
The motorist was last seen traveling toward Litex Road in Barangay Commonwealth.
Police said they are coordinating with the Land Transportation Office to identify the driver, who is facing a complaint for estafa.
