MANILA, Philippines — The San Jose del Monte station in Bulacan will still be a part of the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7) project, the Department of Transportation announced yesterday.
The DOTr said the MRT-7 would still operate with 14 stations, contrary to reports that only 13 stations will push through.
“The San Jose del Monte station remains part of the MRT-7 project and has not been removed from the approved alignment,” the DOTr said.
The DOTr said works on the MRT-3 remain on track to initially be operational with 12 stations by the second quarter of 2027.
The first 12 stations of the MRT-7 will be from Sacred Heart to North Avenue.
The Tala and San Jose Del Monte stations are expected to be completed in 2028, the DOTr said.
