PILAR, Bataan — The Department of Health (DOH) inaugurated the Bataan General Hospital Medical Center-Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Services (BGHMC-Bucas) at the government center here on Wednesday.
Health Secretary Ted Herbosa led in the inauguration after the program, marking the 83rd Araw ng Kagitingan at the Mount Samat Shrine in Pilar, with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as guest of honor and speaker.
"This facility is aimed at providing prompt medical services with patients not necessarily getting admitted in the hospital," said Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia III.
"Included in services extended by Bucas center are quick checkup of patients with cancer, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, diabetes and hypertension," the governor added.
The project is in coordination with the BGHMC.

Undersecretary of Health for North and Central Luzon Dr. Giann Matthew Baggao, BGHMC chief Dr. Glory Baltazar, DOH-3 director Dr. Corazon Flores, Rep. Albert Garcia, Rep. Maria Angela Garcia, Pilar Mayor Charlie Pizarro, and other DOH officials attended the event.
