MANILA, Philippines — DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is bringing its digital entertainment expertise to launch the online gaming operations of LaVie Resort & Casino Manila.

DigiPlus said a cooperation agreement was entered into between its wholly owned subsidiary, Total Gamezone Xtreme Inc. (TGXI), and New Coast Leisure Inc. (NCLI), an indirect subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed International Entertainment Corp. (IEC) and the operator of the LaVie Resort & Casino Manila.

The agreement involves their collaboration in the integration, aggregation, provision, technical support and operation of approved online games and related gaming content through or in connection with the online gaming platform and operations of the LaVie Resort & Casino Manila.

NCLI in 2025 obtained the relevant licenses, certificates and accreditations for online gaming operations.

Pursuant to the cooperation agreement, IEC said NCLI and TGXI shall commence the online gaming business by leveraging NCLI’s online gaming license.

According to IEC, the Philippine online gaming sector is undergoing rapid expansion, supported by favorable government policies, technological advancements and increasing market demand.

It said that obtaining the NCLI online gaming license in 2025 would provide the group with the necessary regulatory foundation to enter the market.

“Leveraging this licensing status, the cooperation enables NCLI and TGXI to jointly commence online gaming operations under and with the benefit of the NCLI online gaming license. This structure allows the group to capitalize on TGXI’s established online gaming infrastructure, significantly reducing the time and resources required to build a platform from the ground up,” IEC said.

“Through the cooperation, the group is positioned to enter the online gaming industry efficiently, compliantly and competitively, thereby enhancing its strategic capabilities and delivering improved returns to shareholders,” it said.

A five-star hotel in Malate, New Coast Hotel Manila was formerly known as New World Hotel Manila.

The hotel-casino complex currently offers 203 guest rooms and operates 96 gaming tables, 495 slot machines and a range of other gaming amenities.
