DUE to the influx of users accessing the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) website, the DBM Information and Communications Technology Systems Service (ICTSS) deemed it necessary to conduct a three-hour system maintenance from Jan. 20 at 10 p.m. to Jan. 21, 2025, at 1 a.m.
This was according to a statement from the DBM Media Affairs and Community Relations Office.
The statement added that the move was to upgrade and enhance the system's capacity and improve the overall speed and efficiency of the website.
"There is no truth to the rumors disseminated by fake news peddlers and professional government destabilizers that the DBM edited the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA) to fill in the blanks, as there is no single page or figure missing in the 2025 GAA," it explained.
It further informed that "thousands of people who have already accessed the 2025 GAA since its upload on Jan. 3, 2025, and those who have access to the 400 sets of printed GAA in both houses of Congress can attest to this."

"The DBM wishes to stress that the malicious statements circulating about the 2025 GAA fail to acknowledge the significant improvements in transparency, accountability, and strengthened public participation that we have been implementing through the Open Government Partnership and Digitalization," DBM said in the statement.
"Moving forward, we urge individuals to refrain from disseminating misinformation and likewise implore everyone to exercise caution and discernment in order to avoid being victims to the pervasive spread of false information," DBM emphasized.
