DBM: P21.7B allotted for 2026 military, uniformed personnel pay hike

MANILA, Philippines — Acting Budget Secretary Rolando Toledo on Wednesday dismissed claims of critics that the government will not be able to provide the increase in the base pay and benefits of active military and uniformed personnel (MUP) this year after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vetoed its funding in the unprogrammed appropriations in the national budget.
