MANILA, Philippines — Actor David Licauco emerged as the top-performing Filipino participant at HYROX Jakarta 2026 after posting a new personal best in the global fitness race.

David completed the competition in 1 hour, 7 minutes, and 38 seconds, the fastest time recorded by a Filipino across all age groups in the Jakarta event.

He also placed ninth in the men's 30–34 age group and 28th overall among 1,221 competitors in the men's open division.

The actor shared photos from the competition on Instagram, thanking those who supported him and vowing to improve further.

"Whole lot of support. Coming back stronger," he wrote.

The result surpassed Licauco's previous personal best of 1:07:48, which he set during his HYROX debut in Taipei earlier this year. In that race, he also ranked as the top Filipino participant.

HYROX is an international indoor fitness competition that combines eight one-kilometer runs with eight functional workout stations, testing participants' endurance and strength.
